JUMLA: Chitra Budha, owner of the Sur and Supunna Organic Hotel at Guthichaur Rural Municipality-3 in Jumla, has been honoured with the Global Nepali Chef Award 2025.
Budha from Jumla, who worked as a chef in Qatar, Dubai and Bahrain for almost 10 years, is currently running a hotel business in his native place.
At a programme organized to hand over the award here, Former Chief Justice Khilraj Regmi said the contribution of Budha, who was successful in bringing many Nepalis to this sector by sharing knowledge and skills learned abroad, would always be remembered.
Budha has been operating a hotel in Jumla that provides only local cuisine. He has also been providing chef training to those who are eager to start hotel business in different places of Jumla including the district headquarters.
“If you always move forward with respect to work, one day you will be successful. Be honest and diligent in the profession, you will definitely be successful, and this is my request to everyone,” Budha said on the occasion.
