KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has reported that local and westerly winds are currently influencing the country’s weather, along with a low-pressure system near Bihar.
According to the division, skies are partly to generally cloudy in the Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the country is experiencing mostly clear to partly cloudy conditions.
Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning has been recorded in some areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali.
For this afternoon, the weather is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy over hilly regions, including Koshi Province, while other areas will see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.
There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at a few locations in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at isolated spots in the hilly areas of other provinces.
Tonight, the weather is forecast to remain partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, while other parts of the country will see mainly clear to partly cloudy skies.
