KATHMANDU: A medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been designated as the leader of the pro-monarchy movement by the ‘United People’s Movement Committee for the Restoration of the Monarchy.’
During a press conference in Kathmandu on Thursday, Nawaraj Subedi, the coordinator of the committee, revealed Prasai’s designation as ‘commander.’
Royalist supporters will gather for a protest in Kathmandu on Friday under the leadership of Prasai. The District Administration Office in Kathmandu has approved Tinkune as the location for the protest.
On Thursday afternoon, Prasai visited Nirmal Niwas to engage in discussions with former King Gyanendra Shah.
