KATHMANDU: Purna Bahadur Khadka has been appointed as the acting president of the Nepali Congress.
According to the party’s Chief Secretary, Krishna Prasad Poudel, Khadka’s appointment is in line with Article 25, Subsection (13) of the party’s amended statute of 2017. The appointment comes as party president Sher Bahadur Deuba is currently abroad.
Khadka has been designated as the acting president until Deuba’s return.
